Cristian learned construction the hands-on way. In 1997 he started working alongside his uncle on real job sites, learning how homes are framed, finished and repaired.
From 2002 to 2019 he worked in banking, including construction financing for builders. Construction lending is the side of the industry that reviews budgets, schedules and draw requests before money is released, so he spent years looking at projects the way a lender does: is the scope clear, is the budget realistic, and is the work on track.
In 2011 he started doing construction on his own, helping homeowners in Arlington and the surrounding DFW cities with their projects. In 2016 that work became Southern Home Remodeling. Today the company remodels bathrooms, kitchens and whole homes, builds outdoor living spaces, and also takes on new construction and residential development for income-producing properties.
